Tour in the old city and the old fort.
Went by cable car to Monte and visited the thurch there with the toomb of Emperor Carl V. He was the last emperor og Austria Hungary and died in exile at Madeira in 1922.
Wednesday November 2012.
Hike along the Mimosa Valley Levada.
Thursday November 20 2012.
Visited the cathedral early in the morning and then the Farmers Market.
Went with the long cableway to Monte and then with the short cableway down to the Botanical Garden.
Friday November 30, 2012.
Observation of dolphins at sea. We were given garantee to see dolphins, but there were none. We were sailing in four hours in rough weather. I was offered another trip sunday for free.
Saturday December 1, 2012.
Minibus tour on the north west part of the island.
Cámera de Lobos. Viewpoint above the city.
Ribeira Brava. Coffee break and round trip along the river.
Cabo Girăo. The higest cliff along the sea. 580 m above sea level.
Porto Moniz. Lunch and round trip along the shore.

The dolphin watch was cancelled due to rough weather.
Relaxing in the sun.
