Strange Birds.
There are many strange birds in Australia, that have much to fear of man. We do not see them in the nature because they are hiding. You can see these birds in captivity in the animal parks. Before I returned to the jungle, I visited an animal park. The first bird that I visited was the emu. An emu is a very big bird. He cannot fly but can run very fast. The emu is a relative of the ostrich that lives in Africa. The emu lives in the desert of Australia. The emus are very curious and also very nice when they are domesticated.
The second bird I visited the animal park was the cassowary. The cassowary is another relative of the ostrich. It is smaller than the emu, and it wears a helmet on his head. The body is black. It lives in the jungle.
Unfortunately it is not nice, it can attack humans. I was happy there was a net between me and the cassowary I saw.
