The Deers.
After my visit to the Maharaja of Rajasthan, I traveled south because there are some large national parks in an area just south of Rajasthan. I wanted to photograph and film the wildlife in India. Until now I had seen most domesticated animals. There are good chances of seeing the wild animals when visiting a National Park. Here are the animals protected from human hunting. Predators in the park still are chasing their prey. Tigers and Leopards hunt deer and wild boar. I visited three large national parks in India
There are many kinds of deer in the Indian national parks, but I saw only three different kinds. The smallest is the spotted deer. There are very many of these deer and one see them all the time when driving around in the national parks. The biggest is the Sambal deer. It is the size of a Red Deer. There are not so many, but the Tigers prefer to catch it because there is much meat on it. The third deer I saw only in one national park, it is called a Swamp Deer or a Barasingha. It is slightly smaller than Sambal deer. Barasingha means twelve ends in Hindi language because it is fully grown animals having twelve ends on his antlers. |
