Letter from Reginal Reindeer Hello, I'm the reindeer Reginal, and I live on the tundra here in Svalbard. In the summer there is plenty of grass and other vegetation which I eat. In the winter, I scrape the snow away with my big hoofs to get down to the plants that I live by. The only enemies that we reindeer have are wolves, and fortunately they do not live on Svalbard. We have a good life here. If there is a reindeer in the world that I really hate, it's Rudolph the Red Nose. He is a symbol of the reindeer that are slaves to humans. I'm a wild animal. I go wherever I want, but we stick to the places where we can find food. I do not work for humans. |
